Connect with SFTP (FileZilla, WinSCP)

SFTP is the best way to move many or very large files.

Get your details

Open Settings on your server. The SFTP section shows the host, port and username. Your password is your game panel account password (the panel at panel.republicnodes.com). If you don't have it, use Forgot password on the panel login page or open a ticket.

FileZilla

1. File → Site Manager → New site.
2. Protocol SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol.
3. Enter the host, port, username and password. Logon type: Normal.
4. Click Connect and accept the host key the first time.

WinSCP

Choose SFTP, fill in host, port, username and password, then Login.

Tips

• Transfer .jar, world folders and plugin data as binary — avoid "ASCII" mode.
• Stop the server before replacing a world folder so files aren't being written while you copy.
• Subusers need the file.sftp permission to use SFTP.
