Giving friends access with subusers
Subusers let staff and friends help run your server without sharing your account.
Before you invite
The person must already have a RepublicNodes account with the email you invite. We never create accounts for people. Send them the registration link first if needed.
Invite
- Open Users on your server.
- Press + New User, enter their email.
- Tick the permissions to grant — or press Grant All Access to tick everything, then untick what you don't want.
- Press Invite User.
The server then appears on their My Servers page with a Shared with you badge and only the tabs you allowed.
Permission groups
Control, User, File, Backup, Allocation, Startup, Database, Schedule, Settings and Activity mirror the usual panel permissions. A separate RepublicNodes Extras group covers our own tools:

Editing or removing access
Press Edit beside a user to change permissions, or Remove to end their access immediately.
Good to know
- A subuser can never grant permissions they don't have themselves.
- Everything they do through the website is recorded in the Activity tab with their name.
- Only the owner can see billing for the service.
