Connect to your Minecraft server

Find your address

Open the Console tab — the server address (IP and port) is shown near the top — or the Network tab, where your primary allocation is marked.

The format is address:port, for example play.example.com:25565. If the port is the default 25565 you can leave it out.

Java Edition

1. Open Minecraft → Multiplayer → Add Server.
2. Paste the address and click Done, then join.

Bedrock Edition

Bedrock servers have their own port (default 19132 UDP). In Bedrock go to Play → Servers → Add Server, enter the address and port separately.

A friendlier address

Instead of a raw IP and port, you can point a subdomain at your server — see Point a subdomain at your server. For Minecraft Java this even removes the need to type a port.

Can't connect?

• The server must be Running — check the Console.
• Your client version must match the server version (or a compatible one via ViaVersion).
• If the server is whitelisted, you must be on the list.
